Daucus Carotta Dara Red

€3.00

Daucus carota Dara Red

A wonderful filler! Daucus carota is a large flowered chocolate coloured Queen Anne’s Lace. The lacy flowers appear in shades of old rose-pink, through burgundy to chocolate, tiny flowers are produced into two to four inch clusters. They can be sown in Autumn or in Spring.

Germination Instructions: Can be sown in trays, one seed per cell, in Autumn or 6-8 weeks before your last frost.

If sowing directly. Sow thinly in rows covering lightly with soil. Seed dormancy is broken by a period of exposure to cold so best sown in autumn or before the weather warms. Should germinate freely. Seedlings look like grass to begin but quickly develop.

Growing Instructions: May need support as can grow very tall and could be damaged by strong winds.

Cultivation Instructions

Will self-seed freely. Deadhead if you do not want it to self-seed.

Seed Count: Approx 100 seeds
