Apple of Peru Nicandra physalodes

€3.50

Nicandra physalodes

Also known as a shoo fly plant for its ability to repell flies but I’ll be honest I’ve seen all sorts of insects sitting on it in flower!

Chosen for use as fresh and dried. It makes the most gorgeous filler. I’ve grown it in the garden and in the polytunnel where it reached six foot tall!

Non - pictorial packs for growers. Pack contains the seeds in an innner envelope.

Germination Instructions Sow indoors into moist well-drained seed compost. Ideal temp. 22°C. Germination takes 15-20 days. Once seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 8cm pots and grow on. Harden off and plant out after danger of frost has passed with 30cm spacing.

Growing Instructions: Fairly easy growing! May benefit from some light support, especially if growing inside a polytunnel. No need to pinch.

When to Sow : Feb to May, will flower June to Oct

Seed origin: Netherlands , Seed Content, approx 600 seeds or 0.5gram
