Ammobium alatum Seeds
Grown for use as dried flowers. I’ve grown it out in the garden and in the polytunnel and found it grew well and equally in both locations. It is native to Australia,
Can be tried as a hardy annual (but will depend on the winter)
Sow indoors Feb-Apr. Sow 2mm deep into moist, well-drained seed compost. Ideal temp for germination at 15°C-21c, takes 10-15 days. Transplant on seedlings. Harden off and plant out once danger of frost has passed. Full sun if preferable.
Deadhead spent flowers to extend the flowering window.
