Atriplex hortensis Green- Orach

€3.50

Atriplex hortensis plumes Green also known as orach. I’ve been growing these for a few years, and initially it was for edibible reasons. The leaves can be eaten when they are small but I’ll admit I keep growing them for their appearance alone. They grow so tall and look beautiful in a garden. They can be used in flower arrangements too and left overwinter as their seed heads are very interesting too.

Germination Instructions You can start in seed trays earlier in the year (Jan/Feb), it germinates at 15-18degrees. Or sow directly from March. Sow directly. Surface sow onto prepared soil.
